A Proud Moment for Godrevy Textiles

Hello friends,
I hope this finds you well and perhaps planning a summer getaway or, if not, diving into a staycation or home project, there’s always something new to take on, isn’t there?

Today I’m writing from the sunny little courtyard garden behind our cottage. After a morning of weaving a fresh set of hammam style bath towels. I’ve taken a moment in the shade to reflect and share what’s new.

These latest towels are wonderfully soft and absorbent, and they’ve been getting lots of attention on social media. The batch I’m working on now has a distinctly Anthropologie feel, subtly textured, with gentle stripes of ochre, brass, lichen green, and salt pink on a soft natural background. Designed to make a quiet, luxurious statement in any bathroom, I think they’ll gather a following of their own. The original ecru-striped versions and their matching laundry sacks are already available in the shop.

Speaking of which… if you’ve browsed this site before, you might notice something’s changed.

With my collection evolving and my style refining, it felt like the right moment to revisit how I present my work to the world. Thanks to the brilliant Kitty Gregorelli’s photography and website design, Godrevy Textiles now has a refreshed online home. Clearer, brighter, and full of thoughtful details. I hope you enjoy exploring it as much as I’ve enjoyed watching it come together.

There’s now more space to share the stories behind each piece, and I think you’ll find it easier than ever to navigate. I’d love to hear what you think. Feel free to drop me a note through the Contact page.

You might also notice the first pieces of my autumn collection quietly making their way onto the shop. I won’t be sharing them publicly until the end of summer, but as a website visitor and loyal subscriber, you’re getting an early look and first pick of these limited-edition pieces.

And in exciting news: my article in Cornwall Life Magazine (August/September 2025 issue) is now out! You'll find me on page 99. It’s a real honour to be featured, and I’d love to hear what you think if you’ve had a chance to read it.

This year has already brought so many exciting developments, and we’re only halfway through. With a busy season of designing, weaving, and making ahead, I’ve decided to step back from some of the summer artisan markets I had originally planned. Quality takes time, and I’m committed to creating pieces that are beautifully made and built to last.

I will, however, definitely be at Makers Cornwall in November, and possibly one or two other events before year’s end. In the meantime, my window to the world is right here. Always open for you to browse, read, and connect.

Until next time,
Sarah – Artisan Weaver
