Secret September - Welcome Home

Pictured: Atlantic and Hedgerow Wrap

I hope your summer has been full of sunshine, festivals, outdoor feasts, and time with family and friends. Here on the Lizard Peninsula, we’ve been blessed with a long, warm season. Our cottage courtyard garden has felt like an extra room, a place for living life outside. Many of you have also been styling your own outdoor spaces with my handwoven textiles, and it brings me so much joy to know my cloth is being used and loved in real life.

Over the summer, I finished my Hedgerow collection, now available in the For You section of my webshop. These statement pieces include large fringed wraps in instinctively chosen colours of amber, leafy green, vintage gold, salt pink, and smoky Havana brown, alongside the olive-lined snoods I introduced in August. They are designed to be treasured for years to come.

The highlight of August for us was watching the Red Arrows’ flying display over Falmouth Bay. Their diamond-shaped fly-by felt like it was just for us! The roar of the engines and the vivid coloured trails across the sky were pure magic.

Now September is here, one of my favourite months. It feels like a secret season: summer lingers in the light, but evenings draw in and cooler nights return. Indoors, I always feel the urge to refresh, painting, rearranging, and lighting candles. To capture that mood, I’ve designed a new bathroom-to-bedroom collection inspired by a ripe meadow. Woven in organic cotton using traditional goose-eye twill, the soft neutral background is lifted by broad stripes of salt pink, ochre, sage green, and brass. The result is a nostalgic, retro-comfort feel across generous hammam-style bath towels and duffel laundry bags. I can’t wait to see how you style them in your homes.

Looking ahead, I’m weaving lush, comforting bedroom textiles for autumn. If you’d like a behind-the-scenes glimpse, I often share the process on my Instagram stories.

For my overseas friends, I know the challenges with shipping, tariffs, and duties are still frustrating. Please do reach out if you’d like to order. I’ll guide you through the extra steps as smoothly as I can.

Enjoy these mellow September days, and thank you as always for your support.

With love,
Sarah – Handweaver
